It's Pig Jig Time!!

On May 20th, your Smokin' Oaks cooking team will be at it again. A fundraiser sponsored by Raleigh #500 in conjunction with the "Gotta Be NC" Agriculture Festival will take place. There are around 30 Lodges from up and down the eastern seaboard that will be cooking BBQ all night. The proceeds will go to our various charities. We will be welcoming the public at 11am on Saturday the 20th and serve BBQ til it's gone.

There are awards for best BBQ, Chicken, Sauce, and the Fan's Choice award. We always have a great time with our brothers at the Pig Jig. In addition to the Pig Jig, there are all kinds of exhibits, rides, a lumberjack competition, drag races and of course, Fireworks! I tell people it's everything the State Fair has to offer for a heck of a lot cheaper.

We encourage all of you to come out and support our charities and get as much BBQ as you can eat for a very reasonable price. The Masonic Home for Children in Oxford will be on hand serving hushpuppies and drinks. You can't eat BBQ without hushpuppies!

We especially encourage you to come by the Oak Grove tent and drop off your fan's choice ticket. Last year the brothers from Delaware came down and won the best BBQ award. We can't have our of staters beating us at our own game can we? Come cheer us on and enjoy some great food for an even better cause. See you there!!
